Since its incorporation in 2018, TreeFrog Therapeutics has raised more than € 74 million and is experiencing strong acceleration thanks to its over 150 froggies.Job Description:JOB DESCRIPTIONAs part of the Science Teams, and reporting directly to Maxime the Chief Scientifc Officer, we are creating a new team called the Help & Target Validation Team (H&TVTeam) which will operate as a scientific operational margin team. The objective of this team is twofold:– Capacity to transiently support ongoing R&D activities– Ability to quickly explore important uncovered topics to validate targetsAll together with the rest of the team, composed at the beginning of 3 people, you will work as a “Swiss knife” interfacing with TreeFrog’s Research teams. This team will not have its own projects but will work temporarily (maximum 3 months) on risky and/or unplannable but priority subjects. You have to be willing to experiment, and show a certain flexibility.RESPONSABILITIESWorking on R&D projects, your main objective will be to provide experimentally backed evidence that will be transferred to dedicated teams. You will have a wide range of responsibilities, including the following:1. Perform technical demonstrations of feasibility2. Provide technical solutions3. Document and transfer the knowledge you produceYour day to day activities will be:– Literature searches on existing solutions– Conducting experiments (experimental design, appropriate implementation of techniques, analysis of data)
– Interface with the CSO to ensure efficient and timely execution– Production of a final report.– Transfer knowledge to target teams– Ensure internal communicationProfile Description:PROFILWith an experimental PhD in biology, or at the interface of biology and physics, ideally complemented by post-doc(s), you have at least 3 years’ experience in experimental science and you have experience in experimental design. Ideally, you have a strong scientific background in iPSC cell culture, and/or encapsulation, hydrogel physics, general physics, imaging. You have a polyvalent profile and ideally, you also have skills in statistics, FACS, QPCR, 3D culture, and 3D printing.You’re a team player, you have no desire for strong leadership (there will be no primum inter pares), and you have a service-oriented positioning. Hands-on, you are resilient and you have enthusiasm to do experiments. You show open-mindedness and aptitude for change. You are proficient in analytical and critical thinking and have rigor, precision, listening and communication skills. Your research is team-oriented, you favor transparency, coordination and team spirit over individual performance.You are willing to communicate on a daily basis in English.You are motivated by the emerging field of cell therapies, and eager to contribute to their expansion?
