In this position, you will develop and implement Portfolio and Lean Portfolio methodologies, establish effective processes and tools, and ensure effective implementation of these.About the TeamWe are expanding our Strategy, Portfolio & Planning team, a dedicated group focused on improving transparency, prioritization, and efficiency across our portfolio to ensure projects and initiatives align with our company’s strategic goals. We work using a blend of agile and traditional project management approaches and work closely with business leaders globally, collaborating across functions to ensure strategic alignment. Our team is evolving rapidly, with members located in Copenhagen and Warsaw.As a key part of this growing team, you will be instrumental in shaping our portfolio, project, programme and LPM practices and fostering cross-functional decision-making to drive success. As the PMO Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the PMO for Digital and technology to drive consistency in our PMO approach ensuring successful delivery of portfolio aligned with the company’s strategic goals. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, strategic thinking, attention to detail and the ability to execute projects on time, within scope, and on budget.Your role as a PMO Lead

  • Build and lead the PMO for Digital & Technology from the ground up
  • Develop and maintain a hybrid operating model that enables seamless planning, execution, and governance across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized project and program management methodologies, frameworks and best practices to ensure consistent delivery and governance.
  • Own the Lean Portfolio Management toolbox
  • Create and implement a strategic resource and capacity management framework, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources across projects.
  • Ability to design and implement planning tools and processes that ensure consistent delivery across diverse project management approaches.
  • Experience in selecting and optimizing project management tools that support Agile (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and Waterfall (e.g., Microsoft Project) methodologies.
  • Ensure structured reporting and transparency of projects and portfolios, driving alignment with organizational goals.
  • Define and implement the governance structure for decision-making and prioritization across the project portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align projects with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Create and implement mechanisms for the continuous improvement of processes and tools within the PMO.

What is needed to succeed:

  • 5+ years’ experience in PMO or Portfolio Management, supporting large and complex hybrid portfolios for Technology and Digital functions.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain scalable operating models with strong planning, governance, resource allocation, and capacity management.
  • Experience with Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) to ensure strategic alignment and maximize value across programs.
  • Extensive experience in managing multiple programs using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, ensuring cross-dependencies and collaboration.
  • Skilled in resource forecasting and using capacity management tools to optimize resource utilization.
  • Knowledge of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to implement flexible processes for both.
  • Proficient in project management tools like Jira, Microsoft Project, and Power BI for integrated resource and project management.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, capable of aligning cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement.
  • Highly organized and pragmatic, focused on finding simple solutions and getting results.
