What Will Be Your Environment

The Lubrizol Gavà site (Lipotec SAU) is located very close to the Barcelona city center and the airport. With more than 140 talented employees, the site develops, manufactures, and commercializes active ingredients for the Cosmetics industry. We are also specialized in the development and production of added-value nutraceutical ingredients, providing nutritional and technical solutions for final product brands in the functional foods & dietary supplements industries.

What You’ll Do:

As a Plant Technical Support (PTS) Engineer for Nutraceuticals, you will provide specialized technical support to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety of the production processes of nutraceutical ingredients that will enable the development of new products and technologies and contribute to position the company as a market leader. In Lubrizol, you’ll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

What We’re
Looking For:

-Performing all tasks related to Process Technology for Nutraceutical Ingredients.
-Timely execution of the scale up of a new ingredient, including tests in the pilot plant and manufacturing sites.
-Evaluation of robustness of a manufacturing protocol for a new product once design has been approved.
-Determination of specifications (physical-chemical) of a product with reference to existing information. 
-Being able to edit manufacturing protocols including instructions to produce the products in a routine manner.
-Ensure flexibility, reproducibility and consistency among different SKUs and manufacturing sites.
-Identify and manage toller relationship from the technical standpoint, leading outsourcing of manufacturing protocols to external tollers and follow-up.
-Revision of existing protocols and introduction of required modifications, including production processes and raw materials, to improve existing manufacturing methods.
-Follow and comply all applicable policies, QA & HSES and internal standards.
Skills That Make a Difference:

-Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or science, master’s degree in food science and technology or similar. 
-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing drying technologies.
-Effectively communicate (written and oral) with colleagues and external contacts in English and Spanish. Advanced level in English is mandatory.
-Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and in a matrix organization.
-Willingness to travel.
-High level computer skills, mainly Office software.
-Good communication skills and creative mind.
-Problem Solving.
-Creativity.
