We are currently looking for a Physician Lead (known internally as a Near Patient Physician Lead) to join our growing team in Poland, this role can be based in any location in Poland but a preference will be close to Zagan or Poznan.The Physician Lead will be responsible for and provide clear medical leadership for the US military patients in Poland, where we provide end-to-end care through our healthcare providers in country. They will serve as the liaison between the local staff, the military medical employees and the local healthcare providers. In this role, the Physician Lead will promote productive dialogue between all listed parties to assure success of the Near Patient Program.Some travel will be required in this role to support client and business requests.Key responsibilities

• Facilitate effective positive teamwork and clear channels of communication both internally and externally.
• Establish regular communication mechanisms to ensure the effective transmission of information to medical staff on organizational and business objectives.
• Interface with the Regional Medical Director Near Patient to assure alignment.
• Provide regular reports on the status of the program to include any interactions with the expeditionary forces medical providers (command surgeons, medical planners), network and International SOS staff as well as any feedback to include compliments, complaints and suggestions from these stakeholders.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the key contractual requirements and work closely with the Near Patient Program Regional Medical Director to ensure that relationships with the US Department of Defense, the US Department of State, DHA, TOPO, US military operational leaders and executives are at all times positive and consistent with the contractual obligations.
• Participate in appropriate social, professional, and networking events which assist International SOS with strengthening the DoD/DHA relationship in the region.
• Facilitate development of close and constructive working relationship between the expeditionary forces medical providers (command surgeons, medical planners), PCSP, other government stakeholders, and the Near Patient team.

About you

• Medical Doctor with 5 years plus post-graduation experience
• Post graduate qualification in assistance focused specialty
• Full registration to practice medicine in country of origin
• English and Polish fluency
• Broad clinical and health care provision experience preferably gained internationally and/or in developing countries within General Practice, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Accident and Emergency, Aviation medicine, Anesthetics, ICU, Tropical Medicine, Aviation Medicine
• Military health care system experience preferred
• Experience of managing/coordinating international evacuations a distinct advantage
• Team and performance management experience at a senior level
• Computer literate
• Demonstrated confident decision-making in acute clinical case management
• Effectively balance medical needs with commercial considerations
