This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of athletes and help develop their physical, mental, and social skills through sport.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events
  • Work closely with colleagues to support the development of the PE curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to students and parents
  • Maintain a high standard of classroom management, ensuring a safe and positive learning experience for all students
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing within the school community

About You:

  • Qualified PE Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Passionate about teaching and sports, with a clear ability to inspire students
  • Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and educational standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs
  • Enthusiastic about organizing extracurricular sports programs and events

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
  • A commitment to the overall development of students, both inside and outside of the classroom
  • A team player mentality with the ability to collaborate with colleagues
  • A proactive attitude towards personal development and professional growth
  • A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
