We are seeking a highly motivated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Northumberland. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of athletes and help develop their physical, mental, and social skills through sport.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events
- Work closely with colleagues to support the development of the PE curriculum
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to students and parents
- Maintain a high standard of classroom management, ensuring a safe and positive learning experience for all students
- Promote a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing within the school community
About You:
- Qualified PE Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Passionate about teaching and sports, with a clear ability to inspire students
- Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and educational standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs
- Enthusiastic about organizing extracurricular sports programs and events
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
- A commitment to the overall development of students, both inside and outside of the classroom
- A team player mentality with the ability to collaborate with colleagues
- A proactive attitude towards personal development and professional growth
- A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
