This full-time, permanent role focuses on using physical education to support the holistic development of students with varied learning needs, encouraging fitness, confidence, and social skills. • Full-time, permanent PE Teacher role in a welcoming SEN school dedicated to creating positive, supportive learning experiences for students with additional needs
• Design and lead tailored PE sessions that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and confidence, ensuring activities are inclusive and adapted to meet the diverse needs of each student
• Work closely with the school’s SEN team to integrate physical activity into a multidisciplinary approach, encouraging active participation and personal growth across all ability levels
• Support students in reaching individual fitness goals, while also providing guidance on the importance of physical health, well-being, and resilience
• Engage in school events and extracurricular activities, creating opportunities for students to showcase their skills and participate in inclusive sports and activity days

Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching PE to SEN students, with an ability to adapt exercises and games to accommodate varied learning and physical needs
• Creative and empathetic approach to teaching, with a commitment to building confidence and positive social interactions through physical education
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire students and collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and caregivers to provide a holistic learning experience
• Clear, enhanced DBS check required to ensure a safe environment for all students
