Offer DescriptionThe Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia is looking for candidates interested in research, to carry out with us the Doctoral Thesis being an active participant in our projects.The development of an international doctoral thesis in the field of oncology will be carried out. The PhD will follow the research line ‘Induction of genetically modified bacteria to activate the anti-tumour immune response’ led by Prof. Ginés Luengo Gil.The main tasks would be:*Attendance predoctoral training UCAM, congress, training seminars and collaboration with other colleagues in the scientific field.*Development of in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo experiments in a murine model.

• Microbiological and eukaryotic cell culture.

• Bioinformatics analysis.

• Development of neoantigen vaccines.

*Publication in scientific journals.*Pre-doctoral training stay abroad in order to obtain an international mention.The research activities will be carried out in the Genetics, Molecular Pathology and Rare Diseases Research Group, located at UCAM HiTech, Sport & Health Innovation Hub, Avda. Andrés Hernández Ros 1, Guadalupe de Maciascoque, 31107, Murcia, Spain.RequiredCandidates must have:– Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or Biology.– Master’s degree in Biotechnology in the field of health sciences.– Experience in human cell culture– Experience in handling blood and blood products, extraction and purification of nucleic acids, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, western-blot, qPCR/ddPCR.

– Experience in tissue microarray construction.– Experience with cell viability, migration and invasion assays.– Advanced level of English (B/6).
