PhD scholarship in Modular Patrol Ship Architectures – DTU Construct

Would you like to conduct research within modular architecture in collaboration with state of the art companies and universities such as OMT, Terma, Systematic, SH Defense and SDU?DTU Construct and the National Defense Technology Center opens a PhD position within maritime technology. The main research task will be to develop and model a patrol ship architecture. The purpose of this architecture is to allow coordination and alignment of several organizations that shall al contribute to the next generation patrol ships. The Architecture model shall reflect the highly cross technology nature of modern patrol vessels, e.g. software, control, mechanic etc.This PhD project will be aligned with another PhD project within manufacturing, and you will be working closely with this PhD candidate, that will be anchored at SDU. There are strong synergies between patrol ship development and manufacturing. As an example: Design for automation in manufacturing is key to development of the next generation patrol ships.Responsibilities and qualifications

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
