VHIR offers vacant position for a PhD in the Biomedical Research group in Urology.Education and qualifications:Required:
- Master’s Degree in the area of biomedical sciences
- Good communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
- Good qualifications
Desired:
- Knowledge of bioinformatic tools
Experience and knowledge:Required:
- Publication as a co-author in a peer-reviewed journal or demonstrated scientific background
Desired:
- Experience in genomic techniques (WES, NGS, exome-sequencing…)
- A degree of independence and teamwork skills
- Experience in molecular biology and cancer biology
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Provide support for the tasks needed in the context of the Flute project to fulfil the aims.
- Collaborate in the European project Flute aiming to use artificial intelligence to accurately discriminate between indolent and aggressive prostate cancer.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: January 2025
- Gross annual salary: 20.508,00 euros
- Contract: Predoctoral
