Are you passionate about the prevention and control of pests within the New
Forest?

You will be required to respond to service requests for pest control treatments, including the
treatment of rodent and insect infestations such as wasps, fleas, bed bugs, cockroaches and
other insect pests, within the district of the New Forest and to monitor their effectiveness.

If you are not already qualified at Level 2 Pest Management, we would look to support you with
training and the opportunity to sit the exam within the first six months of you starting.

All officers have pest control training or field experience which helps us set realistic and
achievable work schedules.

You will be provided with a company van and an phone/tablet (and after a successful trial
period would be allowed to take the van home). The role requires reactive and proactive work
carried out to a high standard in mainly domestic properties but some contractual properties as
well. Reports are completed currently by paper but hoping soon to go digital. You will be
expected to visit a number of locations daily across the whole of the district and to deal with
a wide variety of pest problems and giving good practical advice (on things like rodent and
bird proofing, bed bugs etc).

About you

You will be motivated and able to work alone, able to keep accurate records and comply with
rules and regulations. The role can be strenuous and the ability to carry heavy objects and
ladders and climbing into lofts and crawl spaces is required.

You will have good communication skills as the role will involve working throughout the
district, around residents and members of the public.

You will be able to use provided computer equipment such as a phone and tablet.
