About the business area

Product Supply, Quality & IT
Product Supply, Quality & IT or PSQIT is a dynamic and innovative business area within Novo Nordisk, dedicated to enhancing digital capabilities and operational efficiency. PSQIT is responsible for the supply of all marketed and phase III development products. The area represents a significant part of the Novo Nordisk organisation with over 35,000 employees across multiple geographies.

Excluding support functions, PSQIT is divided into eight divisions (SVP areas) covering various parts of the value chain, and we are currently recruiting for the following four areas:

-PSQIT Development Product Portfolio & Emerging Technologies – creating new products and exploring cutting-edge technologies.
-PS Finished Product Manufacturing – crafting pharmaceutical products for global distribution.
-Digital, Data & IT – leveraging technology and data for improved operations.
-NN Quality – ensuring high standards and safety across all products and processes.

People & Organisation Business Partnering
P&O Business Partnering is an area within People and Organisation at Novo Nordisk consisting of units that collaborate closely with the Global P&O Services and the P&O Centres of Excellences, to help bridge the global P&O community with the line of business. We act as strategic advisors to the business and play a pivotal role in supporting Novo Nordisk’ success providing guidance to our leaders and employees within our fields of expertise including but not limited to: Organisational Development & M&A, Health & Safety, People Relations & Compliance, Training & Capability Building as well as HR Business Partnering. 

The position
As a Vice President (VP) of People & Organisation (P&O), you will drive the development and execution of Human Resource strategies and policies across Novo Nordisk, focusing on one designated business area within PSQIT. 

Each role consists of three equally important areas of responsibility:

-Acting as HRBP and trusted advisor to the SVP (c-1) and leadership team of the business area.
-Leading and developing the global and interdisciplinary P&O function of the business area (team sizes ranges from 15 to 30 FTE including several leaders).
-Serving as an active member of the PSQIT P&O leadership team, including driving a variety of cross-functional projects across PSQIT. In this context, you will be appointed Project Owner to one or more key projects related to PSQIT’s Strategic Priorities working in close collaboration with our P&O Project Management Office and the PSQIT P&O leadership team.
 

You will collaborate with the broader Novo Nordisk organisation and aligning with Global P&O, to address diverse HR related matters including:

-HR Annual Wheel activities
-Organisational Development and Effectiveness
-Change Management
-Talent Management and Development
-Workforce Management
-Culture, Engagement and DEI
 

As a VP of P&O, you will deal with increasing complexity and growth as the business continues to evolve. In this context, you will develop and implement sustainable, cross-functional solutions to meet current and future needs. In connection with long and short-term business strategies, you will proactively identify opportunities to drive strategic shifts in organisational culture and positioning.

In this role, you will report to the CVP of P&O for PSQIT and will be an active member of the P&O leadership team within PSQIT. You will also be a key member of the Global P&O Business Partnering area at Novo Nordisk.

The positions are based in Denmark. We are happy to hear from applicants willing to relocate.

Qualifications
We are looking for an exceptional leader and enterprise thinker, with a track record of progressive and relevant HR experience, ideally from a multinational corporate environment of comparable scale and complexity.

In addition, you possess:

-Extensive experience leading global, interdisciplinary HR teams (including leading leaders), ideally within a global, matrix organisation
-Experience developing and implementing impactful HR strategies in a context of business change and transformation (Culture, Digital, rapid growth, M&A, divestitures, etc.)
-Demonstrated success delivering results as a strategic partner to senior business leadership
-A relevant university degree in e.g. business administration, economics, marketing, HR related or similar. A master’s degree is desirable.
-Familiarity with the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is considered a plus.
