People Data Engineer, People Analytics & Intelligence
Do you want to shape how Lundbeck uses data to make better workforce decisions? As we roll out our next-generation reporting ecosystem, your data engineering experience could be exactly what we need to scale trusted people data products and enable data- and AI-driven decisions across Lundbeck.
Your new role
In People Analytics & Intelligence, you will build and scale the people data foundation that enables consistent, trusted insights across the global People, Culture & Sustainability organization and for our leaders worldwide.
As our new People Data Engineer, you will drive our data management & engineering workstream – covering data architecture, data modelling, business logic and definitions, governance, and secure access management – working closely with your colleagues in People Analytics & Intelligence and partnering with Global IT. In practice, this means shaping and running the end-to-end people data foundation – from ingestion to governed, analytics-ready datasets – and ensuring it is trusted, governed, and securely accessible for analytics and AI use cases.
A key part of your role is to develop and operationalize reusable people data products, ensuring high-quality outputs that are validated and ready for analytical use and proof-of-concept development. You will also contribute to our 2026–2027 journey to implement Datasphere & Power BI as the basis for the next-generation people reporting ecosystem, partnering with key stakeholders in People, Culture & Sustainability and Global IT to make data easy to access, reliable, and secure.
Your future team
People Analytics & Intelligence is Lundbeck’s dedicated center of expertise for turning people data into better workforce decisions across People, Culture & Sustainability and for leaders globally. You will join a small, collaborative team across Denmark and Poland, and you will have touchpoints with all People, Culture & Sustainability functions as well as with Global IT and other parts of the business (e.g. Finance or Commercial), depending on the initiative. We work with short feedback loops and high ownership – co-creating solutions with our stakeholders while keeping governance, privacy and responsible use of people data front-of-mind.
The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Fully remote applications will not be considered.
What you bring to the team
You bring proven experience turning complex data from multiple sources into scalable, governed and reusable data assets – ideally in a global or matrixed organization. In addition, you have the following experience and skills:
-2+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or data analytics, with hands-on delivery of data pipelines, curated datasets or data products.
-Extensive SQL and working proficiency in Python to transform, validate and automate data workflows.
-Solid experience with data modelling and translating business logic and metric definitions into reusable data structures.
-Practical knowledge of data governance, data security and access management / role-based access, ensuring compliant and trustworthy use of sensitive and confidential data.
-Experience working with organizational data across functions (e.g., HR, finance, commercial) is considered an advantage.
As a person, you are proactive, self-driven and motivated by delivering outstanding results. You take ownership, drive outcomes and communicate clearly, and you are curious and pragmatic by nature. You thrive in multi-stakeholder environments and enjoy turning ambiguous business needs into clear data solutions – balancing speed with quality, security and responsible use of data.
