Through our vertically-integrated supply chain we grow, source, ripen, pack, process and market quality avocadoes & fresh produce – 365 days a year & across the globe.With the largest avocado-growing footprint in the world, we are recognised as the leading #avoexperts and considered as the supplier of choice to both retail & wholesale customers whom we serve from sales offices in the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America & Southern Africa.We’re looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our team in Poeldijk, Netherlands.We’re excited to announce a People & Culture Business Partner role in our growing People & Culture team on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extending to a permanent position. This new support role offers the opportunity to tackle various People & Culture projects and help work on a variety of projects across multiple HR areas. You’ll be hands-on, adaptable, and willing to take charge across a range of topics, from employee relations and HR administration to supporting recruitment and onboarding. This role will suit someone with a can-do attitude who thrives on making a difference and supporting teams to achieve their best.Responsibilities include:
- Support People & Culture operations across multiple HR areas, helping to address and manage the backlog of work in collaboration with the wider team.
- Assist with employee relations by responding to employee inquiries, coordinating meetings, and managing cases with guidance from senior team members.
- Provide recruitment and onboarding support, from posting roles and scheduling interviews to assisting with new hire orientations.
- Contribute to HR administration, ensuring accurate records in HR systems and handling general administrative tasks with diligence.
- Work with line managers to provide guidance on performance management processes, supporting documentation, and best practices.
- Assist in compiling HR data and reports to support decision-making and track People & Culture metrics.
- Participate in projects to enhance People & Culture processes and employee experience, working across various initiatives to help strengthen our workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labour laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on HR best practices.
RequirementsEssential
- Prior experience in an HR support role, such as HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or Junior Business Partner.
- Strong knowledge of EU employment laws and regulations, particularly within the Dutch market.
- Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.
Desirable
- Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or similar industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Proficiency in a European language such as French, German, or Spanish.
