Job description

d2m Services is recruiting in the framework of a seawater desalination plant project in Red sea a Project Installation Engineering Manager to oversee the installation of two seawater intake structures, one HDPE diffuseras well as the recovery of 3 MTBM offshore, and the dredging in coral limestone with a total volume of 10,000m3.The Installation Engineering Manager is responsible for:

  • Supervising the installation method team, which includes two method engineers assigned to each Dredging & installation package, draftsmen, and analysts
  • Defining the list of installation engineering deliverables and evaluating the corresponding man-hours
  • Identifying the required number of qualified and experienced resources for executing detailed engineering tasks
  • Developing the detailed overall engineering schedule and monitoring its progress, regularly reporting to the Project Engineering Manager
  • Monitoring the development of installation engineering deliverables and providing suggestions for works installation, fabrication, and mechanical completion
  • Organizing and leading installation/construction review meetings for installation engineering
  • Supervising and controlling the update of all installation engineering documents
  • Establishing installation procedures in accordance with industry standards, company specifications, and requirements, in coordination with the Project Engineering Manager and the Construction Manager
  • Reviewing and approving calculation sheets specific to installation engineering
  • Ensuring installation procedures are safe and do not pose risks to the health and safety of personnel or the environment
  • Implementing Quality Assurance principles and provisions, including checking the quality assurance of all documents under their responsibility
  • Providing assistance to Site Managers upon requests and monitoring the correct application of installation procedures

RequirementsDegree in engineering5-7 years of experience in a similar position

  • Experience with heavy load, offshore, and subsea lift
  • Experience with dredging
  • Experience with operations using work barge nearshore
  • Experience with connection spool pieces installation
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and/or Arabic is a plus
  • Strong background in offshore oil & gas industry or marine intake and outfall structures/pipelines installation

BenefitsDuration of assignment: 19 monthsLocation:

  • 5 months in Southwest France – 5 days/week – no remote
  • 14 months in Saudi Arabia ( Tripple bay, Red Sea)

Rotations will be either 5 or 6 weeks on the site (tbc) , followed by 3 weeks off. An absolutely magnificent living faciliy has been built for the project, which includes amenities such as a swimming pool, game room, bar, shops, satellite TV, and a gym.Starting date: July 2024
