Role Overview
As a Payroll and Compensation & Benefits Specialist, you will be the crucial link between the HR department, Finance, and various external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the monthly payroll processing across multiple entities, encompassing approximately 110 employees, as well as managing the administration of the company’s pension fund. Additionally, you will play a key role in analyzing employment conditions, ensuring compliance with current legislation, and optimizing administrative processes.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for two entities.
- Provide expert advice on payroll processing, collective labor agreements, labor law, payroll tax, and social legislation.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the department.
- Support HR and Finance teams with salary budgets and various administrative tasks.
- Manage and reconcile balance sheet items related to payroll administration.
- Oversee pension administration and ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations.
- Prepare and verify payroll journal entries and tax returns.
- Serve as the primary contact for the accountant and HR department.
- Manage the vehicle fleet and oversee the application management of HRMIS software.
What You Bring
- HBO working and thinking level.
- Completed VPS training or comparable diploma (CBC diploma is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of pension legislation.
- Preferably experience with time registration in salary change processing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with COBRA (SD Worx) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) is a plus.
