Outdoor Education AssistantCamborneFull timePermanentVision for Education are currently looking for an active Teaching Assistant who is looking for a new Outdoor Education role.The role is permanent and full time.Within this role, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with students with SEMH needs. Each day will be different and you will be off the school site most days. Throughout the week, you will take part in a large amount of outdoor activities such as:-Kayaking-Surfing-Mountain bike cycling-Rock climbing-Hill walkingDue to the high amount of physical activity, we are ideally looking for somebody with previous experience and a huge passion for being outdoors. Previous Teaching Assistant experience is desired but not essential.The school is a SEMH setting, aimed at providing social, emotional and academic support to a small group of students aged 5-16. Each Teaching Assistant works 1:1 or 2:1 with the students and are responsible for each pupil when off site.The role is 08:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday. Regular reports and meetings will be had with staff and other educational professionals. Prior to starting the role, you will need to undergo a DBS check through Vision for Education, unless you have one, relating to children and on the Update Service.
