Applications are invited for the above post to support the Deputy School Operations Managers (DSOMs) and the School Operations Manager to deliver operational activity alongside providing advice and guidance to colleagues across the School. The post-holder will line manage a team of operational staff.Operating as part of the School Operations Team and reporting into the DSOM the post-holder will undertake projects on behalf of the School and provide support to Departments as required. They will engage in Communities of Practice, to achieve continuous business improvement and standardisation, working closely with business partners throughout the Faculty and wider University.Within your application, please ensure you use the ‘additional information’ section of the application to provide examples, demonstrating how you meet each of the essential (and, if applicable, desirable) criteria detailed within the person specification of the role description.Flexible, blended working arrangements will be considered.The post holder may be assigned to a Department within the School, but will be employed by the School and as such will work to support activity across the School.School of Natural SciencesEstablished in 2019 the School of Natural Sciences is one of two large, multi-disciplinary Schools within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The School of Natural Sciences delivers teaching and research activities across the core disciplines of Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Materials, Fashion Business and Technology, Mathematics and Physics and Astronomy.Our internationally-renowned expertise informs research led teaching with strong collaboration across disciplines, unlocking new and exciting fields and working at the interface with the Faculties of Biology, Medicine and Health and Humanities and with the School of Engineering, translating science into reality.The School hosts thousands of undergraduate and postgraduate students across 6 academic teaching disciplines and research spans multiple themes.The School has a number of initiatives to enhance the working environment of all staff including; staff lunches, support groups, departmental away days, wellbeing activities, training and development opportunities, mentoring, flexible working, social spaces, seminar series, and volunteering opportunities.What you will get in return:
