  • On a daily basis, and with the local operations team, you will provide operational and strategic support for all safety, quality, service, productivity and cost reduction objectives and goals in your assigned area to our organization including our customers to increase and exceed customer excellence and experience.
  • By best utilizing our slitting machines, packaging lines, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment, you will work with our different teams to clarify optimization opportunities by interacting and driving corrective, preventive, and predictive actions alongside some of our key business functions such as Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Technical Management.
  • Together with your 40+ people team, you will ensure that our products are manufactured and shipped on time as per our customers’ requests and in compliance with our safety and quality standards, internal regulations, and specifications (including stock management), and local legislation.
  • As a continuous journey, and by being an inspirational coach and mentor, you will motivate and develop your team next to planning, scheduling, and supervising all activities in our 24/5 production as well as developing several operations, continuous improvement, and engineering projects.
  • Finally, you will support and ensure the implementation of our Distribution Center Network and Local Strategy in terms of our balanced scorecard, i.e. safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and people.

QualificationsWhat we expect from you! – Your Expertise:

  • Previous work experience of 3+ years in an Operations, Manufacturing, Production Planning, or Warehouse Management function combined with first people-management experience, ideally within the manufacturing/printing/packaging industry
  • (University) Degree in Engineering with a strong preference for specialization in Lean Manufacturing & Continuous improvement is welcome
  • Sound knowledge of project management tools (Lean / Six Sigma / KPIs) / continuous improvement processes as well as a high safety awareness
  • Fluency in English, and Italian
  • Passion for continuous improvement, creativity and innovation, entrepreneurial spirit for growing a sustainable business to set your career at Avery Dennison
