Office and Events Manager
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Office and Events Manager to join our team at the Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) Director’s office, Queen Mary University of London for a maternity cover period. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Director’s Office and the successful organisation of professional events. This is a busy role in a demanding, fast-paced environment, and the postholder will be expected to exercise sound judgement and utilise their independent judgement and initiativeAbout YouThe postholder will coordinate the provision of an efficient and effective administrative service, ensuring smooth running of the Director’s Office, independently and with minimal supervision. They will be required to perform a diverse range of administrative and secretarial activities and duties, encompassing a number of areas of responsibility such as event and budget management, leadership and support, including line management of administrative staff.About the InstituteThe BCI is part of the CRUK City of London Centre whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations.
