Job Description :The NVH geartrain engineer has a key role in the NVH development of a hybrid DCT type transmission. This person will actively participate in product development to ensure that the NVH targets are achieved and maintained for this product, with a strong focus on gear & geartrain specification towards NVH performance.Job description:Leading the NVH development of geartrain components in close cooperation with the NVH (project / testing / CAE) and geartrain design team. This includes:– NVH requirement setting and specification definition of geartrain components, with a focus on gear macro / micro design for NVH
– Pilot, analysis & review of simulations & tests to support gear development including design validation
– NVH issue resolution
– Coordination with the team (NVH test & CAE team members, product & component owners)
– Internal and external communication on NVH related topics Required qualifications :Profile:– Engineering degree (mechanical, electromechanical, automotive or equivalent). Relevant PhD is a bonus.
– 5+ years of experience in leading (automotive) NVH gear development projects
– You are able to plan and see through development tasks including NVH requirement setting, validation and issue resolution.Skills and competences:– Experience with noise & vibration testing and/or CAE, with focus on gear noise including typical softwares.
– Knowledge of gear design & simulation tools such as KissSoft, Masta, …
– Strong technical background on automotive and transmission NVH is required.
– You are able to work independently in a multidisciplinary team of design and evaluation members.
– Strong communication skills, both oral and written, at all levels.
– Proficient technical skills Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
– Able to effectively interface with other disciplines in the organization to achieve result
– Demonstrated ability to drive results
– Customer relationship management skills
