Justteachers teaching agency is recruiting for a Nurture Teacher to work within one of Secondary Schools in the Spilsby area.This position will be is for KS3 pupils who are working at KS2 level and the role will predominately involve strategically raising attainment in Maths and English through planning and supporting the students using ‘Nurture and Development’ strategies.The school is on the outskirts of Spilsby and is committed to providing all children with a quality education. You would be welcomed into an extremely supportive education setting.If you are a teacher who wishes to make an impact with SEND children to ensure that they are engaged in a meaningful and worthwhile education which then provides them with the means to enjoy achievement, success, and increased independence then this could be the role for you!The position is to start in Immediately and is a permanent position. The school are also happy for the right candidate to start immediately to ensure a smooth transition for the new Academic Year.About the role;
- Full time Nurture Teacher.
- You will need to be a positive and resilient role model who is willing to work and overcome the boundaries/challenges required to make a positive impact to the pupil’s education and wellbeing
- You will be working alongside pupils aged 11 – 14 years of age, each with their own specific Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).
- The students have varied abilities and you will need to be proficient at delivering tailored, personalised learning using a ‘Nurture’ style approach for KS3 students.
- You will need to work as part of a team, including liaising with teachers, support staff and external agencies to support the learning, behaviour, physical and emotional well-being of students
- To provide practical support for learning, educational activities, developing social skills and integration.
Role requirements;
- QTS or previous experience working in an educational setting. Applications will also be considered from Instructors or HLTA’s with experience of working with children with SEN and really want to make a positive impact.
- Experience of working effectively with young people who present with a range of challenging behaviour
- Resilience, ability to see through and overcome challenging behaviours to ensure each pupil achieves to their best ability
- A sense of humour and ability to form relationships quickly
- Previous leadership or management experience desired but not essential
- Evidence of successful inter-agency and multi-agency partnership working, including with parents/carers
