The use of AI is monitored and if applicants have used it, then they are required to declare this in their supporting statement.Job overviewThis is an exciting post for a Research Associate to work in the NIHR BioResource @ UCLH.This post will work with clinical teams and phlebotomy across all UCLH sites to recruit patients, family members/friends and staff, to join the NIHR BioResource @ UCLH, transforming the Trust into a genomically- and informatically- led hospital, revolutionising the way we offer the patients to engage in scientific research wherever they are in their care pathway.A primary aim of this post is to support recruitment from the diverse communities our Trust serves to ensure good representation of minority groups. The post if to cover maternity leave for 9 months.Main duties of the jobKey duties/responsibilities include recruiting participants – with a primary focus on minority groups, to join the NIHR BioResource. They will ensure all patient interactions, supporting documentation and processes are completed according to agreed standards. Additionally they will support the senior management team in implementing an EHRS consenting and sample logistics system to enable to scale recruitment and integrate research as part of routine clinical care.The post holder will hold a level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience. They will have experience working in or conducting clinical research, including direct contact with research participants and be phlebotomy trained. Good Clinical Practice training will be seen as an advantage. The post holder should have advanced computer skills having experience working with electronic health record systems (eg: EPIC) and Microsoft Office packages etc.The successful candidate will have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team on site, across all UCLH sites and North Central London. They will have excellent problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure and use their own initiative.   • Vocational Level 3 in health or equivalent relevant experience / HSC Diploma level 3 Advanced / Higher apprenticeship

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of ICH- Good Clinical Practice regulations relating to clinical research

ExperienceEssential criteria

  • Experience in carrying out assigned duties/assisting qualified staff after training
  • Working in a team. Experience working in a clinical or patient facing environment
  • Working in a Health Care or related setting
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Experience in venepuncture / phlebotomy

Desirable criteria

  • Experience working in a research environment
