Night Guardian
The MLA Night Guardian is a Full-time, seasonal position (July through mid-August) with Move Language Ahead, which is the trade name for Go Languages Worldwide ltd. in the UK and Study World Corporation in the US. As the Night Guardian, you would work under the direct supervision of the MLA Welfare Manager. You would be an essential part of our MLA team, hired to monitor the safety and well-being of international high school students attending a cultural immersion program six nights per week from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. and enforcing the MLA designated quiet hours and curfew.COMPANY

The Night Guardian is required to work six nights per week from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. to meet the demands of the program.COMPENSATION
The Night Guardians is compensated as a weekly salary commensurate with the successful candidate’s education and experience. Starting salary is from GBP 550 per week (+ Holiday Pay 12.07%). The Night Guardian will also receive complimentary room and full board as part of their compensation packageREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have a High School degree or equivalent. Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Candidates must represent MLA Move Language Ahead’s values and model those values to subordinates and colleagues. Required additional skills include:Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabularySelf-motivationAbility to be pleasant, polite, and cooperative with fellow employees, vendors, and guestsAdditional preferred qualifications:First Aid certificationCPR/AED certificationThe completion of a satisfactory background check is required. The completion of a child abuse clearance may be required.KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Pre-ProgramAttend all required, paid training/induction meetings prior to the start of a session.Review campus policies and become knowledgeable with emergency procedures.Complete any required training sessions/courses as directed.Residence Hall SupervisionConduct regular rounds of the residence hall(s) to ensure guests are respecting curfew and quiet hours.Patrol and monitor hallways, stairwells, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the campus to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.Challenge unauthorized visitors and escort them to exits; report if necessary.Liaise with campus Public Safety on matters of campus security and emergency management.Conduct room inspections, as directed, to ensure rooms are kept clean and emergency exits clear of obstructions.Report maintenance issues to the Center Manager for reporting to the campus liaison(s)PHYSICAL DEMANDS
