Network Technician – LAN Engineer

Location: Stevenage

Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As a 3rd line Network Engineer you will contribute to this by collaborating with committed people to deliver a high level of service to a global LAN network.

Your role will involve involve taking ownership of complex incidents and progressing them through to resolution, Liaising with 3rd party engineers to troubleshoot issues, small to medium sized project work and investigating service improvements. You will also be involved in live network monitoring and catalogue change requests.

Your transferable skills and experience:

  • Strong desire to learn and upskill

  • Strong technical knowledge of networks, network security and their configuration, particularly with Juniper technologies

  • Must understand Juniper EX LAN switching products, and SRX firewall solutions.

  • Must have strong understanding of 7 layer OSI model, Specifically layers 1 through 4

  • Cisco or Juniper Certifications and knowledge of wireless and firewalls desirable
