We are looking for a Nanofabrication Technician for our client’s brand new, state of the art, semiconductor and fabrication laboratory in Kongens Lyngby. The lab is among the largest in Europe and you get to work with cutting edge technology in a highly dynamic environment of scientist, researchers and engineers trying to push the boundaries of computing. This research program is allocated on 7 sites distributed over 3 continents.Material science and fabrication are the foundation and the enablers of qubit devices. In their research, our client deals with complex stacks of different materials, combined at the nanoscale, and require high repeatability of fabrication processes. The fabrication of qubit devices is a challenging, multistep process pushing the boundaries of nanotechnology and nanopatterning techniques. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of this ground-breaking approach to quantum computing. This person will be helping create quantum devices with quality and control, well beyond the current state-of-the-art.Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Execute daily fabrication and measurement tasks according to the standard operating procedures and the pre-agreed flows.
  • Monitor and report any process deviations.
  • Create and submit reports of the results according to the pre-defined forms.
  • Provide service delivery expertise in operating micro- and nanofabrication tools or other relevant expertise.
  • Communicate and report to the lead person.
  • Provide service delivery in English (oral and written).
  • Continuously improve the service quality and efficiency.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate with a master’s degree in an experimental science (physics, chemistry, nanotech, etc.)Must have:

  • MSc in materials science, nanoscience, physics or similar
  • Hands-on experience in a cleanroom with semiconductor processing
  • Understands cleanroom rules, protocols, and practices

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Electron Beam Lithography
  • Experience in metrology with tools, such as Optical Microscopy (OM) and Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) as well as image processing for automated Critical Dimension (CD) measurements
  • Handling of samples
  • Experience in processing with III-V material systems
