We are seeking a supportive Music Teacher to join a flourishing Secondary School based in Southwark, London starting January. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in a Music setting. Aside from that, the successful Music Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.Music Teacher Responsibilities:· Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire Music students to reach their full potential· Monitor and assess students’ progress and keep regular records of Music students’ academic performance· Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning· Collaborate with school management, teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for Music students· Prepare and participate in school-related activities such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings· Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students· Use a variety of effective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly and safe learning environmentMusic Teacher Requirements:· Music teacher experience· QTS or equivalent· A recognised qualification in teaching, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Education or any relevant field· Proven experience in teaching Music in a mainstream secondary school· Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners· Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students
