call of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship (PF) programme (deadline 11th September 2024).High entropy alloyed (HEA) nanocrystals such as AgAuCuPdPt have been recently highlighted as outstanding electrocatalyst for CO2 reduction. In this project we aim to produce different HEA nanocrystals supported on metal-transition oxides (Fe2O3, CeO2, Co2O3, MnO2) . The samples will be synthesize by a microwave assisted approach and characterize using several techniques. Its electrocatalytic performance for the CO2 reduction (activity and stability) and its suitability for methane and ethane production will be investigated. The candidate, if successful, will work under the supervision of Dr. Pablo Guardia.

The Group’s research is placed at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC). The group is mainly focused in the rational synthesis of nanoparticles and nanocomposites and the study of their structural-functional properties including those related to the nano/bio interfaces and catalysis. The group vision is to see our materials impacting in Nanomedicine, Information Technologies or Energy and Environment.Share this page
