Mobile Quality Assurance Test Engineer

Position Summary

Field test for new mobile products to be launched and maintained on the market.

Role and Responsibilities

Quality Assurance testing in live network with end user perspective:

Conduct field test on devices (smartphones, tablets, wearables etc.) to ensure proper operation once launched and operating on the market

Software (SW) testing:

• Test Cases (TC) to deeply check basic functions operation
• InterOperability Testing (IOT) with network Operators
• Compatibility testing with Samsung and 3rd party devices and systems
• Performance testing:
• Audio and video quality testing
• Call success, drop, throughput and other performance testing, static and on-the-road
• Use case current consumption scenario checking
• 5G, LTE, RCS and other network specific features (HW/SW) validation
• B2B and B2C key application testing
• Discuss with other test members and R&D to ensure that proper solutions are implemented and checked, consider possible impact on market
• Maintain ownership of the assigned project, coordinate with other European Countries, manage the time schedule, provide proper reporting
• Investigate major VOCs in close cooperation with Service Division and R&D
• Contribute to define and implement processes and procedures to be adopted Country- or Europe-wide
• Define, discuss and evaluate testing tool specifications; implement their adoption
• Keep abreast of new technologies in mobile field, study, understand and be ready to test them
• Validate voice-activated and artificial intelligence-based features
• Support Mobile Operators self-certification testing:
• SW tests
• Field and lab performance tests

Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background: Engineering Master with Telecommunication or IT specialization (preferred) or other Science degrees.

Professional Background: n.a.

Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of main office automation software, Mobile OS and Applications. Programming skills, knowledge of Mobile Networks and testing automation tools are a plus

Language Knowledge: Good written and spoken English.

Travel required: 20-30%
