Mobile Electrician – Travel Required

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. This is a mobile position, requiring travel across the West & East Midlands and occasionally wider UK locations. The successful candidate will carry out a mix of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and electrical installations across both commercial and domestic properties.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: GBP37,000 – GBP40,000
Checks Required: Enhanced DBS & employment references

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out Planned & Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites
* Complete electrical installations in commercial and domestic environments
* Perform EICR testing, 1 & 3 phase power installations, and LED lighting upgrades
* Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete repairs efficiently
* Provide accurate assessments when additional works are required
* Communicate clearly with customers when follow-up visits are needed
* Ensure all tasks comply with current electrical codes, standards, and site rules
* Maintain a cost-effective approach when sourcing materials
* Keep all mandatory training and competencies up to date
* Complete all job-related documentation accurately and promptly
* Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a safe and clean standard
* Support management and liaise with clients to ensure work is completed correctly
* Actively identify additional work opportunities when appropriate
* Participate in the emergency call-out rota (1 in 6-8 weeks)

Candidate Requirements

* Minimum 5 years’ industry experience in electrical installations
* Strong electrical knowledge across both domestic and commercial settings
* Excellent understanding of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
* Experience with electrical testing and inspection
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe-working methods
* Self-motivated, detail-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
* Flexible to travel to multiple sites and undertake overtime when required
* Able to communicate effectively with customers, tenants, and colleagues
* Full clean UK driving licence

Essential Qualifications

* City & Guilds Level 3 – Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018)
* City & Guilds 2391 / 2391-52 – Testing & Inspection
