Job Advertisement: Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Salary: Up to GBP40,000
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)

A leading FM Client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join our Mobile
Technical Services team in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. This role is essential in delivering outstanding service to our FM commercial contracts and ensuring a comfortable environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
x25CF; Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with maintenance specifications, documenting all activities in real-time using a PDA.
x25CF; Complete all relevant paperwork regarding PPM, reactive, and breakdown works, ensuring timely submission to the contract administrator.
x25CF; Update the customer’s CAFM system with work completion details and notify of any follow-on tasks required.
x25CF; Address reactive tasks promptly and proactively identify areas for improvement.
x25CF; Remedy plant faults and defects quickly to maintain serviceability in accordance with delegated authority.
x25CF; Ensure availability of suitable spares for maintenance and reactive tasks.
x25CF; Conduct Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA) before commencing work and highlight safety concerns through the AIMS system.
x25CF; Prepare and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure safe working practices.
x25CF; Maintain a clean and safe working environment, wearing uniform and PPE as required.
x25CF; Operate a Permit to Work System following Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements.
x25CF; Attend breakdowns and failures outside of normal working hours, participating in the regional on-call rota.
x25CF; Conduct regular audits of tools and equipment to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:
x25CF; Recognised industry qualification and previous experience in air conditioning maintenance and repair.
x25CF; Essential: FGas certification.
x25CF; Trade qualification as an AC Engineer with post-apprenticeship experience is desirable.
x25CF; Full clean driver’s license.
x25CF; Knowledge of Legionella and Asbestos (training can be provided).
x25CF; Basic knowledge of building fabric repairs and operation of BMS.

x25CF; Computer literate with excellent communication skills.
x25CF; Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
x25CF; Flexible and adaptable to change, with a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance.
x25CF; Physically fit and fluent in English (both written and oral).
