Your role and responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to shape the future of ABB Italy Infrastructure. We’re looking for a brilliant Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer to join our Italian team. As a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. You will work closely with other IT professionals to support our business operations and drive technological advancements. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Design, develop, and implement Windows server solutions in line with company standards. Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. • Oversee the virtualization infrastructure, primarily focusing on VMware. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting. • Ensure system security through best practices and regular updates. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure. • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies. Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting. Document processes and maintain system documentation. • Knowledge of cloud systems (Azure/AWS/GCP) is not mandatory but desirable. Application Integration: Integrate and configure Microsoft and third-party applications within the modern workplace environment, ensuring seamless interoperability and user experience across devices and platforms. • Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and reliability of modern workplace solutions, leveraging monitoring and analytics tools to identify and address issues proactively. • Working with global and local stakeholders: Must be able to work with solution architects, adminis trators, security engineers, application developers and DevOps engineers. • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends

Qualifications for the role

• You have at least 3 years roven experience as a Windows Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
• You are qualified in Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
• You have strong knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance
• You have knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware) and experience with network protocols, firewalls, and security practices.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• You are passionate about new technologies and digital transformation initiatives. You have strong ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English
