As our future Microbiology Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for completing day to day operations of the internal Microbiology Laboratory, in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements and lab standards for medical devices. The Microbiology Laboratory Analyst will adhere to sustained levels of product quality, manufacturing and microbiology compliance.

You will work within the Quality Sciences team, under direct supervision, with responsibility to carry out duties under effective and efficient sterility and laboratory practices, which includes, but is not limited to the following :

  • Complete sampling / microbiological testing of water, intermediate and finished products. Testing includes Bioburden, Endotoxins, Sterility and Cytotoxicity. Results and monitoring data interpretation, “out of specification” investigations. Perform sterile batch release.

  • Complete ordering and control of consumables, testing chemicals and microbiology specific testing elements (media, cells, etc), recording, documentation review and storage/archiving according to GLP.

  • Execution of Laboratory Equipment Qualifications and Test Method Validations.

  • Coordination of outsourced testing with external Contract Laboratories.

  • Providing recommendations to support the business, continuous improvements and cost savings in test methodologies / laboratory systems / internal processes monitoring program. Proficient in local procedures and practices. Updates through the QMS. Related changes ownership.

Your profile :

  • You have a Bac +2 or Bac+3 in any area related to Microbiology.

  • You have experience at least of 2-3 min. in a similar or same role.

  • Experience in a Quality/Regualtory Affairs environment is desirable.

  • You have the ability to build knowledge and understanding of International Medical Device Regulations and standards in aera of expertise (Microbiology).

  • You possess strong communication skills as well as have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to be proficient in statistical techniques, data review and analysis.

  • High level of PC skill. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages.

  • Cytotoxicity tests.
