Job descriptionMFL Teacher – Tameside – January startA dedicated and passionate MFL Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Tameside, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4. The role will start in January and will continue for the rest of the current academic year.This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers.You will be required to teach key stage 3 & 4 French and key stage 4 Spanish.You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way, enabling pupils to reach their full potential.To be considered for this role, it is essential that you hold Qualified Teacher Status and have recent experience teaching in a UK school.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:Location TamesidePosition MFL Teacher (KS3 & 4)Type of work TeachingStart date January 2025Likely Duration 2 termsEnd date – July 2025Contract type TemporaryFull timeMinimum rate of pay from GBP153.85 per day.Hours 8:30am 4pmEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:Degree educated with a good classificationSecondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc)Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:Hold Right to Work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80.Provide a minimum of two professional references.If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
