The position
As a Medical Therapy Area Lead you will be responsible for driving a new therapy area, strategic direction, and growth of our cardiology portfolio. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors and internal departments to drive innovations in education activities. A big part of your daily tasks will be development of medical strategies and their execution and to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice. 

In this role you will develop and implement educational programs and materials for healthcare providers and patients. You will identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscapes, and assist in forming strategic decisions and product development opportunities. An important part of the job is to support the affiliate to expand scientific dialogue to new HCP groups and cooperate in the development of content for digital tools such as websites and mobile apps. This is a hybrid role and will involve travel throughout Poland.

Other responsibilities, but not limited to will be to:

-Identify key opinion leaders and Stakeholders in the Cardiology therapeutic area and build strong relationships.
-Develop and execute medical and scientific activities with regards to the therapeutic area.
-Provide cross functional alignment regarding therapy area and related product strategy
-Set clear directions to help building the cardiology markets and enhance the disease awareness 
-Organise medical guidance events to ensure all medical colleagues are qualified with updated medical data.
-Build the scientific foundation (launch plans) for the upcoming products.
-Develop digital solutions for communication of medical science to external stakeholders:
-Be both flexible and adaptable to be able to flex with fast changing market situations.
 

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications for the role. 

-Medical Doctor, Pharmacist Pharmacologist/ Biotechnologist and similar medical degree
-Proven, extensive track record in working in a multifunctional team with excellent communication skills
-In-depth knowledge of Cardiology 
-A minimum of 4 years previous experience in medical affairs.
-Fluent in both English and Polish
 

About the department
The Medical Affairs department at Novo Nordisk is responsible for establishing and executing the scientific communication strategy and driving related communication plans across clinical trial phases. The team works closely with clinical development, regulatory affairs, and other key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical guidance and education. As a member of the Clinical, Medical, and Regulatory department in Poland, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients.
