About the Role:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a key member of the medical affairs team, responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) within the medical and scientific community. The MSL will serve as a bridge between the company and the medical community, providing scientific and clinical support to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to exchange scientific information and provide support for clinical research activities.
  • Facilitate the exchange of unbiased scientific information related to the company’s products, therapeutic areas, and research initiatives.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and training to healthcare professionals, both internally and externally, to support the understanding and appropriate use of products.
  • Collaborate with the medical affairs team to develop and disseminate scientific data through publications, conference presentations, and other channels.
  • Gather and communicate insights from the medical community to inform company strategy and support product development and commercialization efforts.
  • Ensure all interactions and activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent) would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical science liaison role or similar position within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Fluent English – both written and spoken
  • Strong understanding of clinical research, drug development processes, and the regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex scientific information.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80% of the time) to meet with KOLs, attend conferences, and support clinical trial activities.

  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and other stakeholders.

  • Effective in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Works well in a team environment and collaborates effectively with colleagues across different functions and departments.
