The position
 

As Medical Associate Director/Director, Obesity Management and Digital Engagement, you will:

-Develop and evolve a future Medical Affairs engagement model for obesity healthcare globally, including new types of obesity care providers.
-Map and assess major international and national obesity healthcare providers, characterising emerging care models relevant to future obesity treatment strategies.
-Create and own a Global Medical Affairs engagement framework and strategy, including stakeholder mapping, medical education principles, governance models, and readiness requirements.
-Contribute to the development of clinical care pathways and explore future treatment models aligned with evolving care delivery systems.
-Establish strong partnerships with obesity care providers in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
-Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment while maintaining medical independence and governance.
 

The position may be filled at the Associate Director or Director level depending on the candidate’s experience and background.

 

Qualification
s
 

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual with the following qualifications:

·
      
Medical Doctor (MD) required; PhD and/or specialist degree preferred.
·
      
Business or consultancy experience is a strong asset.
·
      
Established scientific and medical credibility in obesity and/or cardiometabolic disease.
·
      
Strategic thinker able to operate effectively in emerging and ambiguous healthcare landscapes.
·
      
Solid understanding of emerging clinical care pathways in obesity.
·
      
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to build alignment without formal authority.
·
      
Demonstrated experience working across global–regional–local interfaces.
·
      
High integrity with a strong understanding of governance and compliance for external engagement.
 
 

About the department
 

Obesity and MASH is the TA team responsible for driving the medical affairs agenda and input to these two important therapy areas. We are app. 35 colleagues across five teams with projects from early phase to launched therapies. We represent the medical voice both upstream to help guide new clinical trial programmes and downstream to support therapies already available or close to launch to ensure the best clinical use and improved outcomes for patients.
