Media Supply Chain EngineerWho are we looking for?The TBI team (Technology & Broadcast Infrastructure) enables the successful delivery of PMH by managing the technology and media operations used across all departments.The team scope includes the various layers from infrastructure, applications, workflows, and processes specifically designed to meet the demands of PMH ambitions, Live, broadcasting, playout, content management, media operation and much more.As Media Supply Chain Engineer, you bring expertise and a hands-on approach for implementing and troubleshooting PMH applications and systems. You act as 3rd line to resolve the most complex application issues.Main tasksYou work closely with requestors and integrated with Innovation, internal users, external parties, and the technology team in an Agile Scrum methodology.As an expert in your field, you take a leading role in defining and challenging solutions where the centre of gravity lies within PMH and you make sure that needs are well expressed and understood to propose the most impactful & beneficial solutions within PMH means (time/budget).You always seek for future-proof solutions that fit into the PMH environment and consider ease of operations, support and customer-centric.You contribute to projects where the centre of gravity lies within Proximus, thus liaising in the same collaborative fashion with Proximus colleagues.Managing and delivering development projects:Analyse, contribute, challenge and design solutions under assessment, also for product evolution (market analysis driven).Implement solutions for complex projects by taking the lead technically.Interact with suppliers or 3rd party for the proper assessment or implementation of solution.Document and deliver Handover to Maintenance (HoM) documentation.Provide training sessions to Operations for new technologies.Provide technical expertise to and share knowledge with PMH. Coach other team members on the specific and fast pace of technological changeSupport operations and business continuity:Support the service and operations team for complex (and 3 level) Incidents.Be the ultimate on site responsible for all applications to enable an optimal use of resources and servers to enable PMH to operate at extremely competitive media handling rates.Share knowledge with the TBI team and educate PMH users in correct use of systems. (train the trainer = superuser in team)Be a key advisor about the PMH facilities strategy in an integrated way within the global PXS E2E content exploitation facilities and strategy.Accountable for system design and implementation following industry best practices, high availability (applications, infrastructure, network depending on area of expertise)Interact with suppliers, be key in the definition of scope, actively participate in negotiations with suppliers to ensure resources are wisely spent.As impact reaching and strategic decision support:Propose, champion, analyse and evaluate innovative solutions that can serve PMH activities; new ways of working, processes, technologies, and products to implement.Interact with stakeholders from ideation to delivery to define the best-in class solution to implement.Key advisor on the Strategic & Development goals and roadmap, including KPI, recommendation, strategic planning and aiming for value creation.Always evaluate, understand, and communicate the risks (risk assessment) at the right moment.Who are we looking for?You have very good knowledge of / experience in following media supply chain technologies:Traffic systems (i.e. Mediagenix Whats’On)Media Assets Management (i.e. TMD Mediaflex)Archiving (Diva)Transcoding and Quality Check (i.e. Vantage, Vidchecker)Subtitling toolsAudio and video codecsBroadcast workflows and processes optimizationPost-Production and PAM (i.e. Avid Interplay, Adobe Premiere, HelmutFx) knowledge is a plus.You have a good understanding of IT networking and basic knowledge of scripting.You are result-driven and have a hands-on mentality.
