Mechanical Supervisor – Guildford Hospital
Are you a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for leadership and a desire to make a positive impact on healthcare?
We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at a busy hospital in Guildford. You will play a key role in overseeing the maintenance and repair of a range of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
What You’ll Do:
* Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of mechanical engineers and technicians
* Provide technical guidance and support to the team
* Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety
* Manage the preventative and corrective maintenance of a range of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on ventilation systems (including CP and AP training)
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues
* Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
* Monitor and manage maintenance budgets
* Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
* Participate in the on-call rota for emergency call-outs
* Engage in management duties as required, including shift planning and staff scheduling
What You’ll Need:
* A proven track record as a mechanical engineer
* Strong experience working with ventilation systems (CP and AP training desirable)
* A broad understanding of various mechanical systems within a healthcare environment
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in a healthcare setting
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer:
* Competitive salary of GBP45,000 per year
* Monday to Friday working hours (8am – 5pm)
