Mechanical R&D Engineering Graduate (23 Months)

Purpose

Responsible for providing mechanical or electrical engineering support (Physics Major also considered) in the creation and the development of new medical device products. 

Responsibilities

-Researches, develops, designs, and evaluates mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment.
-Develop test systems, verify and develop Test Methods.
-Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality.
-Develops new concepts from initial design to market release.
-Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities.
-Write and submit intellectual property (patents).
-Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
-Investigates and evaluates existing technologies.
-Reviews or coordinates vendor activities to support development. 

Requirements:

-Bachelors Hons Degree in a Technical Discipline Mechanical, Electrical or Physics
– Relevant work experience/ co-op programme completed.
-Eligible to work in Ireland
-Communication Skills
-The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative, while possessing strong team player characteristics.
