Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Static Site, Reading
Salary: Up to GBP45,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
On-Call: 1 in 2 weeks rotation
Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, 5% matched pension, optional private health and dental care

About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a static site in Reading. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems
* Diagnose and repair faults across a range of mechanical equipment
* Respond to emergency breakdowns, providing swift resolutions
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Work closely with other engineers and site staff to maintain seamless operation

Requirements:

* Proven experience in mechanical maintenance (ideally within a similar environment)
* Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
