Apply today and join our growing Device Development team as a Mechanical Engineer within Novo Nordisk.The positionAs Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for making sure that our marketed products have always the best quality and are safe to use for our patients.Some of your main focus include:

• Driving the work in the post-launch phase of our products, striking the right balance between internal and external requirements, as well as ensuring effective problem solving in collaboration with our key stakeholders
• Identifying, initiating, coordinating, and executing development and enhancement initiatives related to mechanical design and interface requirements between primary packaging (drug container systems), device design, and production lines
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our everyday work as well as process improvement initiatives

QualificationsTo be successful in this role, we imagine you have:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or any other relevant field
• A previous experience with, or willing to develop your competencies in mechanical engineering focusing on interface between glass component/syringe and device
• Great analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a strong interest in investigating issues and finding the root cause
• Be fluent in English, both spoken and written.

On a personal level, you are well-structured and have a systematic way of working, seeking simple and effective solutions within the complexity that surrounds a medical device and design control. You thrive in working both independently and with a team, enjoying the benefits of independence and collaboration. You can handle multiple tasks, keep things organized, and manage both short-term and long-term projects with a methodical approach. Last but not least, you possess excellent networking and stakeholder management skills which allow you ensure quality and speed in a complex stakeholder environment, often with diverging interests.About the departmentIn the Device Development department, we are approximately 100 highly skilled curious professionals and specialists that share the responsibility of the marketed device designs and serves as the link between Device R&D and production. In Device Development, the main task is to maintain marketed products as well as develop new variants of existing product platforms. Our deliverables have direct impact on our ability to deliver to the market, on patient safety, and on compliance with the requirements of the authorities.
