As part of a global organization with our parent company based in Houston, Texas, and sales offices across North and South America as well as Africa, we truly operate on an international scale.As a Materials Engineering Specialist in our End Fitting Supply (EFS) department, you will engage in a variety of tasks that allow you to leverage your expertise and skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing client and market requirements for metallurgy, polymers, and general materials, as well as their related industry processes.
  • Reviewing project documentation and specifications to ensure compliance with mechanical and chemical property standards, in coordination with our Supply Chain Management team.
  • Providing design support for materials and processes, including material selection, corrosion prevention design, and process specification. You will ensure that appropriate material requirements are integrated into all project specifications.
  • Supporting materials certification and qualification processes.
  • Updating material specifications to align with industry standards and requirements.
  • Overseeing certification and inspection audits within your area of responsibility.
  • Conducting training within your area of responsibility.
  • Performing inspections at suppliers, primarily based in Europe.

You will be involved in multiple stages of client projects, from kickoff through factory support at our Kalundborg manufacturing facility, maintaining contact with customers and suppliers. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and material methodologies in close collaboration with the Material Engineering team.Professional PrideThe EFS department comprises approximately 100 employees, including a mix of highly skilled project engineers and drafters dedicated to delivering top-quality results. The department is organized into four independent project teams-two in Denmark and two in Brazil. These teams are known for their energetic approach, high turnover rate, and flexibility. As a Specialist Materials Engineer, you will support project-related actions across all teams.Your success will be measured by your ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and meet customer requirements, laying the groundwork for each project’s success.Who are you?Preferred Educational Background:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Metallurgy, or Material Manufacturing.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering.
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Material Science, Material Selection, or Optimization.

Experience and Skills:

  • 2-4 years of experience in SPS/NOV or a related industry, preferably with a focus on Metallurgy Material working processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge and experience with material manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with preferable knowledge of API 17J standards.
  • Familiarity with materials and EN specifications in construction.
