Material Planner

Larne / Hybrid after Training
12 Month Contract Salary Range: GBP16.22 p/h PAYE / GBP18.58 Rolled up Holiday / GBP21.14 Umbrella inside IR35
37.5 hours a week Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 16:30 (Fridays off)

Job Summary:

This role involves scheduling, planning, and overseeing material procurement, production, and delivery processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities include developing material plans, organising material flow, generating forecasts, and managing replenishment planning.

Key Responsibilities

* Schedule production and delivery processes to meet productivity and cost standards.
* Ensure material requirements are met within allocated time frames.
* Manage material flow within the manufacturing unit and inventory.
* Forecast and plan for parts and material replenishment.

Skills and Experience

* Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Experience in analysing situations, making informed decisions, and advising others.
* Problem Solving: Extensive experience in problem resolution, using various approaches, and developing resolutions for critical problems.
* Relationship Management: Working knowledge in maintaining healthy client, vendor, and peer relationships.
* Internal Resource Coordination: Extensive experience in coordinating internal resources and advising on best practices.
* Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP): Working knowledge of managing distribution of inventory across multiple locations.
* Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Extensive experience in optimising manufacturing cycles and materials availability.
* Materials Handling and Management: Working knowledge in handling, storing, and transporting materials, including hazardous substances.
* Transportation: Basic understanding of transportation management, including interpreting carrier costs and rates.

Qualifications:

* Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
