Job Description:If you are a professional searching for an opportunity to grow and develop your abilities within a dynamic business, Emerson has an appealing role for you!We are looking for a Materials Manager (m/w/d) within our Final Control Group (Pressure Management), to be based in Bologna, Italy (#LI-Onsite) and oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, focusing on achieving strategic objectives related to sales, profitability, inventory, and service levels while driving technological innovation and continuous improvement in collaboration with Supply Chain, Quality, Human Resources, and HSE departments.If this sounds like something you would love to do, we encourage your application!In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Leading material planning and purchasing to ensure timely availability aligned with production schedules and demand forecasts.
  • Maintaining accurate system data on suppliers, lead times, and inventory levels while optimizing costs and meeting business objectives.
  • Collaborating with the supply chain procurement team to enhance supplier relationships and drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Overseeing purchase orders, stock levels, and imports/exports, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Mentoring and developing a team of buyers and planners to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a safe work environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in material planning, procurement, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • People leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and production forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, with knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English, with preference for French and Romanian language skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Background in an industrial automation environment with similar products (gas regulators and analyzers).
  • Experience within matrix organization.
