The position
As our Obesity Marketing Director, you will spearhead strategic marketing initiatives, inspire, support, educate, facilitate, and support affiliate stakeholders as the key partner to drive outstanding launches, create business opportunities, and foster innovations. You will also represent Novo Nordisk in terms of vision, values, and commitment in daily conduct with internal and external stakeholders to drive access to Novo Nordisk products, as well as drive overall performance of Obesity portfolio.
Your key accountabilities will include:

-Defining, leading, and aligning Obesity commercial strategies and business area initiatives to increase disease awareness and maximize profitability goals.
-Unlocking the potential and continuously develop the Obesity Market to expand patient access to Novo Nordisk products.
-Challenging Affiliates on Obesity targets and P&L in accordance with agreed principles and targets.
-Driving effective and forward-thinking cross-functional cooperation with diversity and inclusion as a basic and can-do attitude.
-Direct people management and cross-functional/matrix management in the business area.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role we expect you to have:

-A Medical, Life Sciences, Business, or Marketing Master’s degree or equivalent. It is expected to have minimum 7 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare, consumer goods, or regulated industry business development and marketing with sales background, preferably in out-of-pocket.
-Proven experience working in several geographies in similar roles within a multinational company with a matrix organization.
-Excellent leadership skills and a good eye for people development are essential.
-Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, facilitating seamless collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
-Proven depth of strategic and tactical experience in senior pharmaceutical product management/marketing roles, including successful pre-launch planning, development, and execution.
 
As a person, you are a natural leader with proven ownership and accountability. You are a strong collaborator and communicator, capable of driving conversations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at senior level. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrate to be an outside of the box thinker. Finally, you share our passion and determination to improve patients’ lives

About the department
You will be part of the Marketing department for Obesity in BA-SEE including 12 countries (Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Ukraine, Bosnia &Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Moldova and Montenegro), hiring more than 450 colleagues. Our Business Area office is characterised by a strong purpose-driven and ambitious focusing on diversity, inclusion, engagement, people development and patient centricity.Our team is dedicated to driving innovative marketing strategies and expanding the reach of our life-changing treatments. The role is based in a dynamic and collaborative environment where diversity and inclusion are at the core of our values. The Commercial Access and Strategy(CAS) function plays a crucial role in establishing strategic alignment across affiliates in the Business Area, while also fostering close collaboration with Region SEEMEA as a strong partner. The CAS team’s primary responsibilities encompass three key functions: Diabetes, Obesity, and customer engagement, which includes commercial excellence teams. Our goal is to maximize the growth potential of BA-SEE through a team-oriented approach, entrepreneurial mindset, and patient-centric focus, aiming to become the optimal partner for stakeholders, both internally and externally.
