Key Responsibilities :Market Access Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute market access strategies for local pricing and reimbursement dossiers and evidence generation, including health economic modelling and budget impact analyses;
- Analyze the healthcare environment and reimbursement landscape to identify opportunities and threats;
- Collaborate in a cross-functional local, regional and global context to align local strategies with overall corporate objectives
- Gather customers insights and business intelligence
- Develop product differentiation
- Monitor external environment which have the potential to impact market access for GSK products
Reimbursement and Pricing:
- Ensure optimal access for patients to our innovative medicines in different therapeutic areas by combining scientific, economic and communication aspects;
- Build relevant, solid value arguments supported by, but not limited to, health economics data (including budget impact and cost-effectiveness models) and Real World Evidence;
- Lead the preparation and submission of the reimbursement dossiers:
- Write, develop and timely deliver high quality pricing and reimbursement dossiers.
- Close follow up of the pricing and reimbursement procedures and prepare answers to questions and challenges from your stakeholders
- Conduct negotiations with payers
- Lead and collaborate with outsourced contractors such as HEOR, Cost-Effectiveness and/or Budget Impact Models specialists
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Support other departments (Medical, Commercial, Public Affairs) to integrate market access strategies/solutions into brand plans and cooperate with national and international cross-functional teams;
- Contribute to and support the Europe Market Access Community with information on local pricing and reimbursement requirements and contribute to the European strategies;
- Represent GSK externally with regard to pricing & access environment at meetings with authorities, industry associations and other stakeholders;
- Maintain a network of external payer stakeholders and influencers, incl. governmental & private reimbursement authorities, health economist, KOLs and policy makers that can be activated in response to specific access opportunities or risks;
- Build market access capabilities and understanding within the country.
Why You?Basic Qualifications:
- Education: A scientific background with Master’s Degree level or a Master’s Degree in (Health) economics. A PhD is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
- Experience in market access, pricing, and reimbursement within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven track record of successful market access submissions and negotiations in Belgium and Luxemburg.
- Experience working with local health authorities and payers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Data and technologies literacy.
- Good ability for networking, with influencing skills.
- Business acumen and thinking capability, able to zoom out to think holistically as well as to zoom in on details as needed.
- Diplomatic and negotiation skills to reach consensus between different partners.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects/priorities and complex issues.
- Team player, cooperative, accountable, proactive.
- Fluent in French and English. Dutch is a plus.
