We are looking for a Market Access Director
for Greece and Cyprus to join our team and lead the development and execution of strategies to ensure optimal pricing, reimbursement, and patient access for the company’s innovative therapies for chronic diseases with particular focus in cardiometabolic space. This role is critical in navigating the complex landscape of healthcare system, payers, and regulatory environments to maximize product availability and commercial success.

The position

As Market Access Director, you will lead efforts to secure optimal pricing, reimbursement, and patient access for our portfolio in these therapeutic areas. This role requires strategic leadership, in-depth knowledge of healthcare systems, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will work closely with internal and external partners to position Novo Nordisk as a leader in serious chronic diseases care.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Develop and implement pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies for the whole product portfolio of Novo Nordisk
-Ensure alignment with global business objectives while addressing local market needs by providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
-Build partnerships and engage in negotiations with payers, policymakers, healthcare providers and advocacy groups to secure optimal pricing and reimbursement conditions.
-Lead the development of health technology assessment (HTA) submissions and oversee real-world evidence generation and economic modeling to demonstrate product value and support access negotiations.
-Monitor trends in diabetes and obesity markets, including payer policies, competitor activities, and innovations in treatment approaches.
-Ensure all activities comply with Novo Nordisk’s policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
 

Qualifications

-You have a Master’s degree or other relevant academic background in life sciences, health economics or business administration (MBA). Expertise in Pharmacoeconomics will be considered as a plus.
-Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in market access or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
-Proven success in securing pricing and reimbursement approvals for chronic disease therapies. Expertise in metabolic diseases therapeutic areas is highly desirable.
-Deep understanding of global healthcare systems and payer landscapes.
-Excellent leadership skills, people management experience and a good eye for people development are essential.
-Strong stakeholder management skills and a deep understanding of different functions across the value chain are essential.
-You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to build sustainable relationships internally and externally. Excellent level of English is a must.

In order to achieve our goals, we are looking for a Market Access Director for Greece and Cyprus, who will drive our affiliate across the metabolic diseases therapy area. You will report to the General Manager of Novo Nordisk Greece and Cyprus.
