The University recently founded the Bioengineering Institute of Technology to enhance the research in the field of stem cells and materials science/biomaterials. The institute aims to be a leading institution in the field of materials and devices for tissue regeneration. In this sense, the institute counts with top ranked scientists, including renowned professors being in the Stanford top 2% rank of researchers worldwide, several competitive project from Spanish Government, European networks, non-competitive funds with industry as well as prestigious fellowships, such as already awarded Juan de la Cierva, Beatriu de Pinos or Ramon y Cajal.The institute has published in high impact factor journals such as Progress in Materials Science, Materials Today, Materials Horizons, Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, Advanced Materials, Advanced Healthcare Materials, Nanomedicine, Acta Biomaterialia and Biomaterials among others.The Institute is seeking for Postdoctoral Candidates to submit proposals for the . The MSCA grant initiative aims to foster the creativity and innovation of PhD-holding researchers seeking to acquire new skills through advanced training, international collaboration, interdisciplinary work, and cross-sectoral mobility. Postdoctoral candidates are encouraged to review the list research areas to identify research topics research that align with their interests.Research areas:– Hydrogels for tissue regeneration

– Finite Element Method (FEM) and multiphysics simulation– Dental implantsWhat we offer Applications are invited from qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed term contract as MSCA Postdoctoral fellow at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) in the Sant Cugat Campus in Barcelona. We offer unique space for research, access to infrastructure and will support research with BIT’s own funds.   • Supported fellows must be in possession of a doctoral degree before call deadline.
  • At the call deadline, supported researchers must have a maximum of 8 years fulltime equivalent experience in research, measured from the date of award of the doctoral degree. Years of experience outside research and career breaks (e.g. due to parental leave), will not count towards the amount of research experience. For nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries who wish to reintegrate to pursue their research career in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, years of experience in research in third countries will not be considered in the above maximum.
  • Recruited researchers must comply with the following mobility rule: they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary (for European Postdoctoral Fellowships), or the host organisation for the outgoing phase (for Global Postdoctoral Fellowships) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.
  • Supported researchers can be of any nationality. However, researchers going to a third country (Global Postdoctoral Fellowship), must be nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
