• Manage market facing underwriters who proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities
• Mentor staff and support personal development of team members

Portfolio & Product:

• Manage the P&L of the portfolio and take appropriate actions to ensure profitability and growth
• Manage your personal book of business
• Ensure that accounts are qualified, and meet with Zurich’s appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity
• Monitor Sales Funnel and Production Metrics of team
• Identify new growth opportunities with key distributors
• Identify market trends and coverage’s exposures that may impact business results
• Work with actuarial to insure a proper rate / price structure
• Ensure cross-sell to increase product density with the account
• Develop and roll-out new products/ wordings

Clients & Relations:

• Manage relationships with producers by conducting line of business, book of business, class and segment analysis to ensure profitability and growth
• Support development and maintenance of agent/broker relationships to achieve profitable growth, market share, product mix, new business and account retention
• Improve customer relations, profitability and productivity by continually analyzing branch office´s new business, loss ratio, expense ratio, loss frequency, agency distribution, product mix to determine its impact on other business units
• Build good working relationships with other underwriting functions, Underwriting Services, Underwriting Excellence and Captive & Co/Re-insurance as well as with Risk Engineering

Requirements/ Profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5 or more years of experience within Liability underwriting and/or management
• Combined proven technical insurance knowledge with strong commercial and analytical skills
• Build solid and strategic relationships with colleagues of all levels and clients/brokers
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Dutch, French and English
• Easily adopting new systems and with a good and solid knowledge of MS Office
